Big Day Out in Kamakura

Spent yesterday with Minako, Hugh Ashton, and John Talbot at Kamakura. We took the charmingly retro Enoshima Electric Railway (Enodoen) to Yuigahama station …

… and one of our destinations was the Kamakura Museum of Literature. This stately old building is part of literature itself, because it was featured in Yukio Mishima’s novel, “Spring Snow”.

Today, it houses the special exhibition “Japan’s Mystery Writers of the 20th Century”…

… and a show of photographs by an old friend, Yoshihiro Hagiwara.

A great day out was had by one and all!
