The Revolutionary Max Ernst

It was the Surrealist Artist Max Ernst who once said “In this world, where there is so much to feel revolted at … it is the duty of the artist to create something revolutionary.”
With that in mind, Minako and I travelled into Yokohama yesterday, first to have lunch with author Hugh Ashton and buy a signed copy of “More Tales from the Deed Box”, and then go on to the Ernst exhibition at the Yokohama Museum of Modern Art.

After that, we headed back to the area around Sakuragi-cho station to look for a good old-fashioned izakaya. We found it in the shape of Ichi-no-Okura, named, of course, after the classic Ichi-no-Okura Nihonshu.
