The Revolving Painted World of the Tokyo Mods

Another good night at Studio Jam; the band pictured onstage is the Minnesota Voodoo Men, and the shot shows one of their audience-participation stage-invasion moments (that they love so much). Bottom picture; the new 45′ single from my good friend Manji’s band, High Style, “It’s a Revolving Painted World”, out now on Smashing Time records!

Are members of this band fans of the Television Personalities? They had a song called Smashing Time (from the 60s film) and a song called Painted Word. Just a thought, and probably a co-incidence, but TVP are one of my favourites bands JP. xx

Funny you should mention that Denise! The reformed TV Personalities played here on a double bill with the reformed Lotus Eaters last Oct. Don’t know if Manji was doing this as a homage to them, but I’ll ask him next time I see him.
