Minako and I found an amazing new restaurant in Shinjuku the other day with food we’ve never tried before . . . Inataya is a place that serves the local cuisine of Tottori prefecture, and selected dishes can be seen here!

Top: lotus root deep-fried with cheese, and potato sauteed with anchovy. Middle: assorted pickles of garlic, clams, and firefly squid. Bottom: ‘Sazae’ whelk, and buta-pon (pork tempura).
